i believe its not exactly necessary but it is a damn good idea. it will help the people of the world understand others plight. it shows the world how it really is. it also shows what the world really should be about, love, peace, and compassion. I hope that this idea will be put into an international view not just to those who are interested enough to go to the website itself. It needs more communication to the world. The concept is very interesting to me. I hope that one day this will be not only a national holiday but an international holiday.

crash(racism and discrimination)

It just keeps going in a circle, Prejudice equals prejudice. Life connects. I have never seen such racism in my life. The irony that is in this movie is astounding. For instance the cop that molested the black woman also saved her very life. The white upperclass woman found a friend in a person that she had great resentment for. This is a great movie in my opinion, it shows independent instances that are tied together by fate. It also shows how people often blame others for their own personal shortcomings. Once again it shows that being a good samaritan doesn't always pan out but it tells you that being a selfish prude will get you nowhere in a hurry. One of the many morals that i got out of this wonderful movie is that you should forgive people for their shortcomings because you have your own.
The title of this movie just goes to show that something as little as a simple crash can ignite intense racist and discriminative feelings. I believe that it is also a reference on where human society is headed if we don't stop the bigotry, bias, social dismantlement, and the destruction and dehuminization of others and their cultures. Racism is not the only stigma that is shown in this wonderful film. Just to mention a few, stereotyping, discrimination against class, social stature, and even a simple background. Just because you live in a certain place or grew up in a horrible social environment, doesn't mean that you'll act to specific standards that are associated with that scene. Many people take one look at a person and they think that they have single handedly summed that persons entire mental structure in less than a minute. But there is no substitution for getting to know that persons thoughts, feelings, and preferences on certain ideas or ways of life. I give Crash a rating of 10 because of the eye opening reality that it shows.

A VIEW ON IRAQ

(1.) his idea on iraq is that it has many beautiful places and that its not just a dry arid desert. He also sees that the people finnally feel free when saddam is dead.
The views of the common american differ drastically. The common american picture iraq as a horrible hell hole and that the people hate our guts.

(2.) Mr. Wongs tone during this article is hopeful yet dark and foreboding. The reason for such tone is that he sees the pain and suffering in iraq while also seeing the beautiful landscape.

(3.)His purpose in writing this article is that he wants to let the american people know how it really is over there in iraq. hes being informative while expressing his feelings on the war.

(4.) In rumis poem its very dark and contrasting to Mr. Wongs paragraph. Rumis view is that the war is total and thoroughly corrupting the iraqi people. Mr. Wongs view is that Iraq is a beautiful place that has had a lot of pain and suffering over the last 5 years. he also sees that the people feel free for the first time in almost two decades.

New Years Resolution

This new years resolution I plan to eliminate my skipping habbits and to join the football team. I also pledge to start bringing my grades up and make them stay up. A lot of my problem in my earlier years was that I had no future in mind but now i do.

liberal vs. conservitive

I am in fact very liberal. I prefer changes in many things. In religion i believe that all religion should be allowed and that all people should have more personal freedom. I am very tolerant of foreiners and other such races and peoples. In actuallity i am a very open minded person.
I am not at all conservitive. I loathe the thought of people being so pompous and resisting to change and reform. I hate the fact that most of todays leaders are conservitive and that people choose money and personal gain over helping your fellow man.

global warming

I believe now that global warming is a threat and that we should try and reverse it. The atmosphere is holding more gasses than it has in human history. It works like a green house, it traps gasses inside the atmosphere without letting it out, therefore it is making the earths temperature rise dramatically. There are five greenhouse gasses and they are, water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. they all occur natrually but human kind has been releasing these gasses at a much higher rate than nature can eliminate them.
There are many misconceptions about how global wraming is happening, if at all.
The first misconception is that its not a problem, that it will not affect the human race. The real fact is that it is real and that it will affect us. some data to prove this is that hurricane strength increasing, ocean temperature and and levels are rising, even temperature records are being broken. Another false fact is that these changes are normal. The actual fact is that such rapid change is not normal. Data to prove this fact is that research has shown that such changes should take thousands of years, not decades.
